On Friday 8th April, our school Award Ceremony took place in the Excel Theatre, to acknowledge the exceptional efforts and achievements of our students.  61 students were nominated for awards by staff and fellow students.   All nominees received a candle and a certificate recognising their achievement.  20 of those students were honoured with awards.  Mr. Willie O’Brien coordinated the ceremony and announced the winners.  Past pupil and actor, Rachel Pilkington, presented the awards to all.    In the Junior category the award winners are: Leadership – Eve Donovan and Aoife Furlong; Academic Excellence – Úna Carew and Sive O’Mahoney; Creativity, Culture and the Arts – Hannah-Kate Heffernan; Sport – Katie Cunningham; Spirit of St. Anne’s – Eimear Burke; Positivity – Orlaith Merrigan Fitzgerald; Resilience – Shannon Crowe.  In the Senior Category the award winners are: Leadership – Michelle McLaughlin and Laura Corby; Academic Excellence – Louise Howe and Cora Howe; Creativity, Culture and the Arts – Sadhb Brennan; Sport – Chloe Quinn; Spirit of St. Anne’s – Claire O’Dwyer; Community Spirit – Meabh Richardson; Positivity – Fiona Noonan; Aisling Riordan Award – Deirdre Mullins; Caring Award – Kelly Tuohy.  Well done to all!
