Football is a very popular sport for girls in St. Anne’s. We have Senior and Junior teams. Training for pupils takes place twice a week after school in the Monastery G.A.A pitch across the road from the school.

Pupils take part in Senior and Junior competitions and in many blitzes throughout the year. Our senior team is primarily made of Transition year, fifth year and sixth year students, while our junior team consists mainly of third and second year students. Both teams compete in Munster competitions.

1st and 2nd years also participate in a number of blitzes throughout the school year.

• County B Senior Champions 2022, 2024 & 2025

The team sport helps students to get to know other girls and to develop lasting friendships outside the classroom.
