Singing is an integral part of school life in St. Anne’s. In first year all students sing in the First Year Choir. They learn songs from a variety of repertoire, and perform at many school occasions throughout the year.

Singing is a very important element of all music classes. Many students will choose to sing as part of their Junior and Leaving Certificate Music Practical Exams. Students also sing at every school celebration, singing solo and in a choir at school masses, graduation ceremonies and all special events.

In 2015-16 The Combined Schools Choir was formed, with students from St. Anne’s Secondary School and The Abbey CBS. This is the first initiative of its kind in the County. The Combined Schools Choir has performed at a number of local concerts and offers our students the opportunity to sing in a mixed-voice choir.
